The 10th RoboCup German Open 2011 will take place at MESSE MAGDEBURG from March 31, 2011 to April 3, 2011.

The event hosts the 11th German RoboCupJunior qualification competition for RoboCup 2011 in Istanbul and the open tournament for international teams in the RoboCup Major Leagues.

RoboCup 2010 in Singapore

Robotics has long been promoted through annual exhibitions, conferences and competitions both by industry and government bodies in Singapore which was even reflected in Singapore Prime Minister's National Day Rally speech 2004 as

"we are distinguishing ourselves internationally. We do well. I've noticed recently we won Robocup soccer"

Results of these initiatives has paved the way for the United Nation Economic Commission to rank Singapore as one of the top 4 countries investing in the areas of Robotics in Asia. Robotics and Intelligent Systems has been selected as one of the three directions of Singapore economic development strategies. Currently there are 25 major robotics research laboratories in six tertiary institutions. Robotic Competitions have been conducted in Singapore since 1989 as part of its National Automation Master Plan (1987) to promote robotics and automation among its youth population.

In the context of RoboCup, Singapore has always played a greater role with a long history dating back from being the host city for RoboCup Pacific Rim Series in 1998.

Singapore has been participating in RoboCup since 1999. We are one of pioneers in the Humanoid League since its debut in 2002. Most tertiary institutions in Singapore are actively participating in RoboCup events annually. There are on average 20 schools participating Singapore RoboCup Junior Qualifying Round every year.

Iran has been an active participant of RoboCup events since 1998. Since 2003 the number and quality of Iranian teams have increased considerably. Consequently, formation of Iranian National Committee seemed to be necessary.

After the first successful IranOpen competitions, Iranian robocuppers were determined to form the Iranian National Committee in order to promote RoboCup within Iran.

The basic objectives of this committee are concisely mentioned hereunder:

RoboCup IranOpen 2010 being the fifth annual RoboCup IranOpen competitions will be held in April 2010. Iranian RoboCup National Committee and Azad University of Qazvin as organizers of this event wish all the participants luck and success. We will try to make the 2010 competitions even more enthusiastic and put all the efforts in our power to make the competitions environment as much comfortable as possible for the participants.
